More than 100 members of the Historical Society of the Tonawandas gathered at the American Legion Sikora Post in North Tonawanda for the 2015 Annual Meeting and Harvest Dinner on Wednesday, November 18, 2015.   Membership Director, Jan McCloskey, receives the 2015 Voluteer of the Year Award from Society Secretary, Carole Barnard while President Patrick Barnard looks on.
     
 
Mary Ann Dehlinger accepted a 2015 Memorial Award on behalf of the late David Crissey.   Jean Dutton with the 2015 Memorial Award that honored her late husband, Dick Dutton.
     
 
Janet Bearfield accepted a 2015 Memorial Award on behalf of her late brother Robert Schweitzer   Dan Wilke, “Buffalo’s Organ Grinder” provided an interesting and entertaining program for attendees after this year’s dinner with a fascinating introduction into the world of self-playing automatic musical instruments. Featured were two German street organs and several other items from Mr. Wilke’s personal collection, some of which are over 100 years old.


Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees and sincerest thanks for the many years of dedicated service represented by the names of this year’s recipients.
