The Niland Brothers-A Patriotic Story
Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 7:00 pm
Immanuel Lutheran Church
107 Scott Street, Tonawanda, New York

Preston (Pete) Niland will be our speaker for our first fall program in 2022. He graduated from Tonawanda High School and then Ithaca College. He married Jan McCormick and is the proud father of Dr. Briana Niland.

Pete is intimately related to history through his family’s experiences in World War II. Many of us remember the movie “Saving Private Ryan” but might not know that the story is based on the Niland brothers who grew up in the City of Tonawanda.

Pete is the son of Edward Niland, one of the four brothers immortalized in the film. He will give a firsthand account of the Niland family’s sacrifice during WWII.

Please join us for this extraordinary story. It is free and open to the public so bring a friend.

Refreshments will be provided and served by the Program Committee after the presentation.
